1. Introduction

Welcome to the Cookie Policy for PT Intermediate Holdings IV, LLC, and its affiliates and subsidiaries (“Parts Town,” “us,” “our,” or “we”). This Cookie Policy supplements the information contained in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. In this Cookie Policy, we describe how we use the various types of cookies, web beacons, tags, pixels, clear gifs, and similar tracking technologies (collectively “Cookies”) that may be used on the websites owned by and operated by or for us (each, a “Website” and collectively the “Websites”) or our mobile applications (“Apps”) when you visit them.

We use Cookies to collect information, including in some instances personal information, from users of our Websites, Apps and services (the “Services”). These technologies may be used not only for traditional analytics and advertising purposes, but also to support personalization, predictive analytics, automated recommendations, artificial intelligence (“AI”) features, machine learning systems, session replay tools, fraud prevention, security monitoring, and operational functionality. Certain Cookies and similar technologies may support AI-enabled systems that analyze user interactions, browsing behavior, purchasing activity, device information, or engagement patterns in order to improve our Services, optimize user experiences, personalize content, generate analytics, improve advertising effectiveness, or support automated business processes. Some technologies may interact with device-level or operating-system-level intelligence features, software development kits (“SDKs”), or automated functionality available through your browser, mobile device, operating system, or application environment.

By visiting our Websites using our Apps or otherwise using our Services, you consent to our use of Cookies as detailed in this Cookie Policy. Please visit our Cookie Charts below for further details about which Cookies we use in connection with our Services. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting a banner on our Websites or otherwise communicating with you. The “Last Modified” date at the top of this page indicates when this Cookie Policy was last updated or reviewed. You can learn more about your choices and how we use Personal Information collected through the use of Cookies by visiting our Privacy Policy.

2. What are Cookies?

  • Cookies: We use Cookies on our Websites and Apps to improve the function of our Websites and Apps, to collect analytics information, including in some instances personal information, and to serve you with targeted advertising. A “cookie” is a small text file that is saved onto your computer, cell phone or other electronic device when you use one of our Websites or Apps. Cookies can be used for a particular browsing session (a “session cookie”) or future browsing sessions (a “persistent” cookie). When we collect data directly from you while you are on the Websites or the Apps, we use “first-party” cookies. We also use “third-party” cookies. Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through our Websites (such as targeted advertising, interactive content, and analytics). When we use these third-party cookies, we and our advertising and analytics partners can recognize your device ID both when you visit our Websites and Apps and may allow our third-party partners to recognize your device when you visit other websites.
  • Pixels: Pages of our Websites or Apps and our e-mails may contain small graphic images known as pixels (also referred to as “pixel tags,” “clear gifs,” or “web beacons”) that help us analyze users' behavior in connection with our Services and to measure the effectiveness of our Services and related advertising. We use pixel tags on our Websites to collect information about users' use of our Services, such as which Website pages you view, which features or links you use, or other such actions you take relative to our Services. Types of information that pixels may gather include the IP address of the device you use to access the Services, date and time information, immediate browsing history, and technical information about your device such as the browser type and operating system. Pixels can also allow us, or third parties, to place Cookies on your device.
  • Tags: Tags are pieces of code used on our Websites that allow us to better understand our Websites’ users, such as the users who complete a purchase after viewing an advertisement.
  • Social Widgets: These are buttons or icons provided by third-party social media providers that allow you to interact with social media services when you view a webpage or mobile app screen. These social widgets may collect browsing data, which may be received by the third party that provided the widget.

3. What Categories of Cookies and Similar Technologies Do We Use?

We use four types of Cookies in connection with our Services:

  • Essential Cookies: Essential Cookies enable you to navigate the Websites and use their services and features. Without these Essential Cookies, the Websites will not perform smoothly, and we may not be able to provide the Websites or Services to you. These Essential Cookies enable (i) services that you specifically request, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging into your account, or filling in forms, and (ii) core functionalities, such as Website security, network management, and accessibility.
  • Preference Cookies: We use Preference Cookies to collect information about your choices and preferences, such as preferred language and other website settings, which allows us to customize our Websites accordingly.
  • Analytics Cookies: Analytics Cookies collect information about your use of the Websites and enable us to improve the way they function and operate. Analytics Cookies convey the most frequently visited pages on the Websites, help us record and debug any problems with the Websites, and demonstrate the effectiveness of our advertisements.
  • Advertising Cookies: We use Advertising Cookies (including those provided by third parties) to display targeting promotions or advertisements based on your interests. These Cookies collect information about your activities on this and other websites and on our Apps to provide you with interest-based advertising. These Cookies also help us track the effectiveness of our marketing efforts.

4. How Do We Use Cookies for Analytics and Advertising on Our Websites and Apps?

Our third-party analytics and advertising Cookies are reflected in the chart in Section 5 of this Cookie Policy, and include, but are not limited to, the following:

Analytics Cookies

  • Google Analytics: Our Websites and Apps use Google Analytics, provided by Google. This web analytics program collects and generates information, through cookie placement, about your use of the Websites and Apps. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our Websites and Apps, to compile reports on Website and App activity and to provide us with other services related to Website and App activity and internet usage. If you would like to prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data, you can prevent this collection by utilizing the opt-out tool that Google makes available at the following site: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. If you use this tool, an opt-out cookie will be placed to prevent Google Analytics from collecting your information. Google's Terms of Use and privacy policy can be found on this page: https://policies.google.com.
  • AI-Assisted Analytics and Personalization Technologies: We may use analytics technologies that incorporate machine learning, predictive analytics, automated segmentation, behavioral modeling, or similar AI-assisted technologies to better understand how users interact with our Websites, Apps, and Services, improve functionality, personalize user experiences, optimize workflows, detect fraud or misuse, and enhance operational performance.
  • Session Replay Technology (Hotjar): We use a session tracking replay software called Hotjar, which records users’ actions on our Websites and Apps. We use Hotjar’s services to help us better understand and improve user experience, troubleshoot issues, improve performance, analyze usage trends, support analytics, and maintain security. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on user behavior and devices. These technologies may capture user interactions such as clicks, scrolling behavior, mouse movements, keystroke activity, page navigation, form interactions, device information, IP addresses, unique device identifiers, browser information, geographic location (country only), and your preferred language. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile.

Advertising Cookies

  • Google Dynamic Remarketing: In conjunction with Google Analytics, we use Google’s advertising services, such as Google Tag and Google Dynamic Remarketing. To opt out of remarketing advertising provided through Google, to customize your ad preferences, or to limit Google’s collection or use this information, visit Google’s Safety Center and Google’s Ad Settings and follow Google’s personalized ad opt-out instructions. Opting out will not affect your use of the Websites.
  • Meta Pixel: We use Meta Pixel, operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. ("Meta") on our Websites. Meta Pixel is a portion of code integrated into our Websites which allows Meta to identify our Website users as targets for advertising that Meta offers (collectively referenced here as "Meta ads," which includes advertisements commonly known as "Facebook ads"). We use this technology to display our Meta ads only to users of Meta services (e.g., Facebook) who have shown an interest in our services or share interests in certain topics or products, which can be determined on the basis of which web sites you visit, which information we transmit to Meta through the Meta Pixel. Meta Pixel also helps us understand how effective (or not) our Meta ads are, by allowing us to see whether our users have been redirected to our Services after clicking on a Meta ad. Where this occurs, Meta Pixel further allows us to identify, with Meta's help, broadcast audiences that are similar to users using our Services in this way. It also helps us to obtain detailed statistics about the use of our Website for market research purposes. When users visit our Websites, the Meta Pixel directly connects to servers operated by Meta or its affiliated companies, such as Facebook. That server is then notified that you have visited our Website and Meta records this information in your personal Meta-associated account (e.g., your Facebook account). Meta may also use this information for its own promotional purposes, for instance, allowing Facebook and its partners to show you advertisements on and outside of Facebook, in accordance with Facebook’s Data Usage Policy, available at https://www.facebook.com/policy.php. You can disable this function as shown at https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads.
  • LinkedIn Ads: We may use LinkedIn Ads to display search advertisements and to track when you have visited or used our Website. If you click on a LinkedIn Ads advertisement, LinkedIn Ads stores a cookie on your device that is used to track the number of individuals who click on a LinkedIn Ads advertisement and are forwarded to the applicable website. To learn more about LinkedIn’s privacy practices, please refer to their privacy policy. LinkedIn allows you to opt out of tracking associated with LinkedIn Ads.
  • Microsoft Advertising: We use advertising services by Microsoft to display advertisements to you and to measure the success of our advertisements. If you click on one of our advertisements run by Microsoft Advertising or use our Websites of Apps, Microsoft may place Cookies on your device. To learn more about Microsoft's privacy practices, please refer to Microsoft’s Privacy Statement. Microsoft allows you to opt out of tracking associated with Microsoft Ads by visiting Microsoft’s Opt-Out Page.
  • The Trade Desk Universal Pixel: We use the Universal Pixel from The Trade Desk to send targeted advertising to visitors to our Websites. Universal Pixel uses pseudonymized IDs to track users without needing to download cookies onto your device. For more information, please see The Trade Desk’s Privacy Policy.
  • AdRoll: We use NextRoll’s AdRoll services to provide you with targeted advertising and to measure and enhance our advertising practices. When you visit the Websites, AdRoll may collect your email address (if you provide it to us), your shopping data and Website activity, your device information, IP address, non-precise location data, browser data, advertising history. You can find out more about AdRoll’s privacy practices by visiting their Privacy Policy.

Certain advertising technologies may use automated processing, machine learning, predictive analytics, audience modeling, or similar AI-assisted technologies to help determine which advertisements, recommendations, or content may be most relevant to users based on browsing behavior, purchasing activity, interactions with our Services, device identifiers, inferred interests, or engagement patterns.
