Chatbot and Artificial Intelligence Services
We use automated chatbot technology powered by artificial intelligence to provide customer support and assistance on our Websites and Services. When you use our chatbot, you are communicating with an automated system powered by artificial intelligence, not a human representative, unless explicitly stated otherwise. Our chatbot is designed to help understand your questions and provide helpful responses based on programmed algorithms and machine learning technology designed to simulate conversation and provide information.
We may also use generative artificial intelligence technologies, including large language models (“LLMs”), machine learning systems, predictive analytics, and similar automated technologies in connection with our Websites, Apps, customer support functions, internal operations, analytics, recruiting, workflow automation, search functionality, recommendation engines, and other business processes (collectively, “AI Services”). AI Services may be provided by Parts Town or by third-party technology providers acting on our behalf. Certain AI Services may integrate with our enterprise systems, customer relationship management platforms, inventory systems, order management systems, service platforms, communication tools, or other systems of record in order to retrieve, process, summarize, classify, analyze, or generate information and responses.
Our AI Services may process personal information, account information, transaction data, technical information, support history, device information, user prompts, uploaded content, and other information necessary to provide the requested functionality and improve system performance. You should not submit sensitive personal information, confidential information, payment card information, trade secrets, protected health information, or any other highly sensitive information through public-facing AI tools or chatbot features unless specifically requested by Parts Town and transmitted through an approved secure method.
Through your chatbot interactions, we automatically collect the following personal information:
- The content of your messages, questions, and inquiries, and transcripts of your conversation with the chatbot.
- Date and time stamps of conversations and session metadata.
- Session duration and interaction patterns.
- Your IP address and general geographic location data.
- Device and browser information and technical identifiers.
- Any personal information you voluntarily share or disclose during conversations.
We collect and use information from your chatbot interactions for the following purposes:
- To respond to your specific inquiries and provide requested information and relevant responses.
- To improve our automated response capabilities and the accuracy and effectiveness of our systems.
- To analyze service usage patterns to enhance user experience and optimize our Services.
- To train our AI systems for better performance and maintain customer service records.
- To provide ongoing customer support and resolve technical issues or complex inquiries.
- To maintain security, prevent misuse of our Services, and protect our legitimate business interests.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
By using our chatbot services, you provide your consent for the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this policy. Your consent is voluntary, and you may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting our Privacy Officer, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and where legally permissible. AI Services may rely on third-party artificial intelligence models, cloud infrastructure providers, or external technology platforms. Parts Town is not responsible for independent processing activities performed by third-party providers acting outside our instructions or outside the scope of our contractual relationships with them.
AI Outputs and Human Review
AI-generated responses and outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or inappropriate and should not be relied upon without independent review where appropriate. While we take reasonable measures designed to improve the accuracy and reliability of AI-generated content, Parts Town does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated outputs. Certain AI-assisted interactions, recommendations, classifications, summaries, or workflow automations may involve meaningful human review, validation, or oversight before action is taken, where appropriate or legally required. We do not use AI systems to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning consumers unless permitted by applicable law.
Information We Collect Through Automatic Data Collection Technologies
We automatically collect the following information in connection with your use of the Services:
- General location information, using your zip code or postcode and IP address.
- Device, internet, and network activity information such as the browser, device, and operating system you are using, signal strength, device identifiers, MAC address, and your IP address.
- Website information about the site you came from and the site you visit when you leave us.
- App usage information, including how often you use the App and where you downloaded it.
- Mobile device intelligence and AI-assisted functionality data, including interactions with on-device processing features, voice processing tools, image recognition features, predictive text systems, smart recommendations, or similar operating system or application-layer AI features made available through your device or operating system provider (such as Apple Intelligence or similar technologies), where enabled by you or permitted by your device settings. Information generated through on-device processing may remain locally on your device in certain circumstances and may also be shared with Parts Town or our service providers when necessary to provide requested Services, synchronize functionality, improve user experience, maintain security, or support operational purposes.
- Your interactions from embedded technologies (including web beacons, tags, and pixels) in the Websites, App, Messaging, emails, and other communications to help us understand how you interact with our Services.
- Inferences we draw about you, based on your personal information, reflecting what we believe to be your preferences, characteristics, predispositions, and attitudes.
As you navigate through and interact with our Services, we may use automatic data collection technologies including different types of cookies, web beacons, tags, pixels, clear gifs and similar technologies, including those that include the Meta Pixel and Google's advertising platforms (collectively “Automatic Data Collection Technologies”) to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, searches on our Websites and Apps and patterns. Sensitive Personal Information
We collect account log-in, financial account, debit card, or credit card number in combination with any required security or access code, password, or credentials allowing access to an account from customers to provide our product and Services.

We may also use AI-assisted tools in connection with recruiting and applicant screening; however, employment decisions are not made solely through automated processing without appropriate human involvement where required by applicable law.
